CyI at the 5th E-RIHS Interim Meeting at Warsaw

CyI’s Sorin Hermon, Nikolas Bakirtzis and Athanasios Koutoupas participated at the E-RIHS research infrastructure interim meeting took place at the Biological and Chemical Research Centre of the University of Warsaw, Poland.

During the meeting, partners especially focused on the review of the E-RIHS Preparatory Phase, Governance, Training strategy, Access Policies and Communication. Further on the agenda, they took place also the 3rd Governing Board meeting, the Interim National Coordinators Committee meeting, as well as the meeting for the SAB members.

In addition to all these fruitful meetings, at the first day of the meeting ICCROM and E-RIHS signed the “Statement of Cooperation”. This great beginning of the three-day meeting in Warsaw means that the long-standing and future collaboration on Heritage Science and Research Infrastructures becomes official.

The European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS) supports research on heritage interpretation, preservation, documentation and management. It comprises: E-RIHS Headquarters and National Hubs, fixed and mobile national infrastructures of recognized excellence, physically accessible collections/archives and virtually accessible heritage data. E-RIHS connects researchers in the humanities and natural sciences and fosters a trans-disciplinary culture of exchange and cooperation. E-RIHS pursues the integration of European world-class facilities to create a cohesive entity playing a connecting role in the global community of heritage science.
