The beautiful high-resolution panoramas of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Troodos Painted Churches are the result of a 2018 collaborative digital documentation project between the APAC Labs/ STARC of the Cyprus Institute and the West Semitic Research Project of the University of California and the Cyprus Department of Antiquities. The project, pursued in the context of the collaboration of the Cyprus Institute and the Department of Antiquities, featured the application of a range of digital documentation techniques and applications (photogrammetry, 3D documentation, 360’ Panoscan images and Reflectance Transformation Imaging). Panoscan images are by Bruce and Kenneth Zuckerman and Marilyn Lundberg, West Semitic Research, with the assistance of Alleluia Tyus and Thomas Zhang in the context of USC’s “Troodos Painted Churches Imaging Project” funded by the Vasiloudes Family.
